President & CEO
Dr. Nguumbur Lovette Ikongo-Ononuga is a passionate advocate, visionary leader, and the Founder/Chief Executive Officer of the Gift Lupus Foundation (GLF), Nigeria—an organization she established in 2020 to give a voice to individuals living with lupus and to address the gaps in awareness, care, and support across the country.
Her journey into lupus advocacy is deeply personal. After the heartbreaking loss of her sister to lupus, Dr. Lovette turned her grief into purpose. What began as a painful experience became a driving force behind her commitment to ensuring that no other family has to suffer in silence or lose a loved one due to lack of awareness or delayed diagnosis.
